Magazine Cover Swap
A magazine cover swap was a project using the same image but altered to have two different target audiences. The first magazine cover is about African safaris and other topics within that theme, such as the animals that live in the Savanna and knowing where to start when planning a trip. The target audience would be any adult or family that loves to travel or learn more about the animals that reside in the Savanna Desert. For software, I used Adobe Photoshop for photo editing and Adobe InDesign for page layout to complete a polished final result. The design intent was to choose two drastically different topics, so I could know how to design them differently from the other.
The second magazine cover uses the same photo from the first design, with alterations to grab the attention of a completely different target audience. This version is about Adobe Photoshop and to learn more about photo-editing techniques for people of all levels that want to improve their Photoshopping skills. The target audience is creative people that use Adobe Photoshop in their careers, like photographers and designers. It can also be for anyone that wants to get into photo editing to enhance their skill level. The software used is Adobe Photoshop and InDesign for photo editing and page layout. The design intent was to choose two drastically different topics, so I could know how to design them differently from each other.
